Now Offering Everyday Adventure Photo Sessions

I am so excited to be offering a new photo session for my clients, called Everyday Adventure Photo Sessions. There is so much beauty in your everyday story, and it deserves to be documented. Your Sunday trips to the Farmers Market. Your weekly visit to the library. Or even hanging out in your backyard. These places and routines are sacred. They are the fabric your families story, and I want to capture it for you.

These sessions, unlike my other portrait sessions, lean much more heavily on the documentary style side of photography. Your family will simply enjoy each others company as you normally do, and I will come along to hang out and capture what these everyday adventures look like.

In all of my work, I have always tried to honor the authenticity of each family. But through my own daily life as a parent, I have come to learn how incredibly valuable it is to have memories of everyday life with our children. This new session offering is born from that realization, and I cannot wait to document these precious moments for families. That being said. Here is what you can expect from an Everyday Adventure Photo Session.

Location: Locations for these sessions will depend entirely on what part of your daily life you would like to capture. It can be anything from your own backyard, to a favorite park or museum that your family frequents. When you reach out, we will work together to hash out the details.

Styling: I would say that styling is much more flexible for these types of photo sessions. This is the perfect time to celebrate everyone’s unique peronality and style. If your child has a rainbow tutu that she wears every chance that she gets, or her favorite unicorn sweater- then why not let her wear it and only deepen the layers of meaning and memory to the photographs. If you would still like to somewhat coordinate outfits, then I would say keep it simple and choose a color palette for your family. Whatever you choose, make sure that everyone is comfortable and mobile so that they can enjoy the day as they normally would.

Length of the photo session: This session type tends to be longer, generally anywhere from 1.5-3 hours. It will depend entirely on the activity that you are doing. Because this session type revolves around an activity, time tends to fly by, and I want to make sure I capture enough of the experience for your memories.

Deliverables: As with all of my photo sessions, your final photos will be presented in a personalized online gallery, and are yours to keep forever. You can expect a minimum of 200 photos from this type of photo session. Prints can be ordered directly within your online gallery service.
